I have a 106 gti which blows at the center box as the title says would a center box fit of a 1.1 1.2 106? Or a vtr ?

GTI is the only model with a centre silencer.

The mid section is in 2 parts. The front half has a flattish "box" which is the catalytic converter. If that is the "box" which is blowing you will need a new one since you cannot get them from a scrapyard.

If it's the rear half of the mid section with the silencer, then you can replace that with section off ANY standard 106. they are all the same diameter and fitting. Other models of 106 have no silencer here though so noise will increase marginally (I've tried it)

Some early models of 106 (pre 1999) have a catalytic converter in the mid section too.

the only 106 exhaust which will not fit is off a 1993 model 1.0 litre or older. The rest should fit.

These "idiots" at Peugeot are trying to save cost. The exhausts are very restrictive as standard. Even the intake is restrictive slightly.

Saxo exhausts are marginally different, they will not allow the back box to sit correctly if fitted to a 106.

No, you need to fit the CORRECT exhaust for your car else it won't run properly even if it did fit (which it more than likely won't). Even the idiots at Peugeot know more about exhaust system design than you do!
